We have just over a month before we hit the road again, and RVing is definitely back on our minds. Actually, I am not sure it ever really left our minds. Even with the hectic schedule of building our own home, our thoughts have constantly centered us on our next RV trip. I think it is official. We are real RVers. Who really love it. We are still in the very early stages of preparing for our RV trip, but we know it is time to start putting some things in to action.
How do we get started in the very early stages of preparing for a RV trip?
First, we get in shape. We will be hitting several national parks during our trip, and we know that we need to get ready for them. We want the ability to explore everything we want to, so we need to get in shape. The best way I know to get ready for hiking is to hike! Come on, Jen, that was obvious!
You know we love to go for campground walks, and find them to be a great way to connect with each other and allow our surroundings to melt away some of our tension and stress.
But, to me, hiking is a unique in that it has different demands on your body depending on the trail you are on. Having the changes in incline and different surfaces can make it a more strenuous exercise than a leisurely walk. I can’t wait to get to the trailheads out West that say “3,000 foot elevation change”. Or maybe I can wait. And get ready for them first. Very ready.
Join us on our first hike of the year, as we are in the “pre-, pre-stages” of preparing for our RV trip…
Hope this video inspires you to get out there too! Or to do the puzzle. Both count as preparation.
